How Do You Add Ribbon to Text in Photoshop?

Adding ribbon to text is a fun way to add some flair to your text. There are a few different ways that you can add ribbon to text, but the most common way is to use the “Wrap Around” option in Photoshop.

To add ribbon to text using the “Wrap Around” option, first select the text layer that you want to add the ribbon to. Then, go to the “Layer” menu and select “Layer Style.” In the Layer Style window, select the “Blending Options” tab and then check the “Wrap Around” option.

Now, you’ll need to select a path for the ribbon. To do this, click on the “Create New Path” icon at the bottom of the Layer Style window.

PRO TIP: Ribbon can be a great way to add visual interest to text in Photoshop, but it’s important to use it sparingly. Overuse of ribbon can make your text look busy and cluttered, making it difficult to read. Use ribbon sparingly and only when it adds to the overall design, not detracts from it.

Then, use the Pen tool to draw a path around the text. Be sure to close the path when you’re finished by clicking on the first point again.

Once you have your path, go back to the Layer Style window and select the “Pattern Overlay” option. In the Pattern Overlay options, click on the “Pattern” drop-down menu and select a pattern for your ribbon.

Then, adjust the scale of the pattern until it looks good. Finally, click “OK” to apply your changes.

Your text should now have a nice ribbon around it!
