When it comes to adding text to images, there are a few things you need to consider in order to make sure your text looks great. One of those things is how you arc or curve your text.

If you don’t take care when curving your text, it can quickly start to look distorted and unappealing. In this article, we’ll show you how to arc text without distorting it in Photoshop.

When you’re ready to add some curved text to your image, the first thing you need to do is create a new layer for the text. This will make it easier to edit the text later on if you need to.

Once you have a new layer created, use the Type tool to add your text. Then, position the text where you want it on the image.

Now that your text is in place, it’s time to curve it. To do this, go to the Layer menu and select “Create Work Path.”

PRO TIP: If you are not careful when arc text without distorting in Photoshop, you may end up with distorted text. Be sure to use the correct tool for the job and be mindful of the settings you use.

This will create a path around your text that you can use to curve it. With the path still selected, go to the Pen tool and click on the “Convert Anchor Point Tool.”

Click and drag on one of the anchor points of the path until it curves the way you want it to. You can do this with multiple anchor points until you have the desired result. Just be careful not to distort the shape of the path too much or your text will start to look distorted as well.

Once you’re happy with how your text looks, go to the Layer menu and select “Release Work Path.” This will turn your path into a selection that you can use to fill with color.

To do this, go back to the Type tool and select a color for your text. Then simply click inside the selection and the color will be applied to your text.

And that’s all there is to it! Now you know how to arc text without distorting it in Photoshop.
