Adding a background pattern to your Figma design is a great way to add some visual interest, and can really make your design pop. There are a few different ways to do this, and we’ll walk you through the process step by step.

To start, open up your design in Figma. Then, select the “Rectangle” tool from the toolbar on the left.

Draw a rectangle that covers the entire canvas. Next, select the “Fill” option from the right toolbar and choose a color for your background. Now you’re ready to add a pattern!

There are two ways to add a pattern in Figma:

  1. Option 1: Use an existing image file
  2. This is probably the easiest way to add a background pattern to your design. Simply select the “Image” option from the fill menu, and then upload or drag and drop your image file into the interface. You can then adjust the opacity, scale, and position of your image until you’re happy with how it looks.

  1. Option 2: Create a new pattern
  2. If you don’t have an image file handy, or if you want to create something custom, you can always create your own pattern right inside Figma.

To do this, select the “Create new fill” option from the fill menu. This will open up a new window where you can create your pattern.
