How Do You Create an Org Chart in Figma?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 9:42 pm

An org chart is a great way to visualize your company’s or team’s structure. It can help you see who reports to whom, and who is responsible for what.

Figma makes it easy to create org charts. Here’s how:

First, create a new file in Figma. Then, select the ‘Rectangle’ tool from the left toolbar.

Draw a rectangle on the canvas. This will be the first ‘box’ in your org chart.

PRO TIP: When creating an org chart in Figma, be sure to take into account the following:

– The org chart should be easy to understand and follow
– It should be clear who reports to whom
– The structure of the org chart should be logical
– You should avoid creating duplicate roles or positions in the org chart

Next, select the ‘Text’ tool from the toolbar and click inside the rectangle you just created. Type in the name of the person or department that this box represents. You can also use the ‘Text’ tool to add job titles or other labels to your org chart.

To create additional boxes, simply repeat these steps. To connect two boxes, select the ‘Line’ tool from the toolbar and draw a line between them. You can also use the ‘Line’ tool to add arrows or other shapes to your org chart.

That’s all there is to it! With Figma, creating org charts is quick and easy. So next time you need to visualize your company’s or team’s structure, give Figma a try.
