Figma is a versatile digital drawing and modeling program that enables users to create stunningly realistic drawings and models. One of the program’s most impressive features is its ability to cut objects with precision.

In this article, we’ll walk you through the steps necessary to cut an object in Figma.

1. Open the object you want to cut in Figma.

2. Select the object you want to cut and click on the “context menu” button (three lines in a triangular shape).

3. Select “Cut.”

4. Figma will display the “Cut Object” dialog box.

5. In the “Cut Object” dialog box, set the following properties:

– Cutting Options: The “cutting options” section allows you to customize how the object will be cut. You can choose whether to cut through the object’s surface or its interior, whether to keep the original object’s orientation, and whether to create a new object.

– Type of Cut: The “type of cut” section allows you to choose between a variety of cutting tools.

PRO TIP: When cutting an object in Figma, be sure to use the right tool for the job. The Knife tool is best for cutting straight lines, while the Scissors tool is best for cutting curves. Be careful not to cut yourself while using either of these tools!

– Actual Cut Path: The “actual cut path” section shows you the path the cutter will follow when cutting the object.

6. Click on the “OK” button to proceed.

7. The object will be cut and the resulting pieces will be displayed in the “Cutted Object” dialog box.

8. Select the pieces you want to keep and click on the “OK” button to close the “Cutted Object” dialog box.

9. The pieces that were cut will be displayed in the “Cut Object” dialog box.

10. Click on the “Delete” button to discard the pieces that were cut.

11. Click on the “Close” button to close the “Cut Object” dialog box.

12. The object will be updated with the newly cut pieces and the “Cutting Results” dialog box will be displayed.

13. Click on the “OK” button to close the “Cutting Results” dialog box and finalize the object’s cutting.

14. The final object will be displayed in the document window and can be saved as a file.
