How Do You Deform in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 3:40 pm

There are many ways to deform an image in Photoshop, but some of the most common methods are by using the Warp tool, the Liquify filter, or by using a combination of both.

The Warp tool is located in the Photoshop toolbar and can be used to push, pull, or distort an image in a variety of ways. To use the Warp tool, simply select it and then click and drag on the image to deform it.

PRO TIP: This Photoshop tutorial demonstrates how to deform an image using the Liquify filter. Be sure to save a copy of your original image before beginning this tutorial, as the Liquify filter is destructive and cannot be undone.

The Liquify filter is a powerful tool that can be used to create all kinds of distortions. To use the Liquify filter, go to Filter > Liquify. Once the Liquify filter window opens, you can use the various tools to push, pull, or distort the image.

Both the Warp tool and the Liquify filter can be used to create some pretty amazing distortions, so experiment with both and see what kinds of results you can get.
