How Do You Delete a Photoshop File?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 12:08 pm

When you’re done with a Photoshop project, you may want to delete the file to clear up space on your computer. Deleting a Photoshop file is similar to deleting any other type of file on your computer. However, there are a few things you need to keep in mind when deleting Photoshop files.

First, make sure that you no longer need the file. Once you delete a file, it’s gone forever and cannot be recovered. If you’re not sure whether or not you’ll need the file again, it’s best to move it to a different location on your computer, such as a backup drive or folder.

PRO TIP: Deleting a Photoshop file can be a tricky process, especially if you’re not sure what you’re doing. If you’re not careful, you could end up losing important data or causing irreversible damage to your file.

To delete a Photoshop file, open the File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac). Navigate to the location of the file you want to delete. Right-click on the file and select Delete from the menu. You can also select the file and press the Delete key on your keyboard.

When prompted, confirm that you want to delete the file. The file will be permanently deleted from your computer.
