How Do You Do CTRL D in Figma?

Last updated on November 24, 2022 @ 11:32 pm

In Figma, you can use the Ctrl + D shortcut to quickly duplicate any object on the canvas. This is a great way to duplicate an object if you need to make a few changes to it.

For example, if you need to create a new button that is similar to an existing button, you can use the Ctrl + D shortcut to duplicate the button and then make your changes.

To use the Ctrl + D shortcut:

  1. Select the object that you want to duplicate.
  2. Press and hold the Ctrl key on your keyboard.
  3. While holding down the Ctrl key, press the D key.
PRO TIP: If you are unsure about how to do CTRL D in Figma, we recommend that you seek out help from a professional or ask for help from someone who is familiar with the software. Attempting to do CTRL D without proper guidance could result in lost data or unwanted changes to your design project.
