How Do I Move an Image in Figma?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 10:33 pm

There are a few different ways to move an image in Figma. You can either use the Move tool or the arrow keys on your keyboard.

To move an image using the Move tool, simply click and drag it to the desired location. You can also use the arrow keys on your keyboard to nudge an image by a small increment. To do this, select the image and then press the arrow keys in the direction you want to move it.

PRO TIP: If you are trying to move an image in Figma, be aware that you may accidentally delete the image. To avoid this, make sure you have a backup of the image before you begin.

You can also use the alignment options in the inspector to quickly align an image. To do this, select the image and then click on one of the alignment options in the inspector panel (e.g. center, left, right).

Finally, if you need to move an image by a specific amount, you can use the X and Y axis options in the inspector panel. Simply enter the desired values for each axis and the image will be moved accordingly.
