The glitch effect is a popular visual style that can be achieved in Photoshop with some simple techniques. First, you need to create a source image. This can be any image, but for best results, use an image with high contrast and strong colors.

Next, open the image in Photoshop and duplicate the layer. Then, go to Image > Adjustments > Invert. This will invert the colors of the image.

Now, go to Filter > Distort > Wave. Use the following settings: Number of Generators: 10, Amplitude: 50%, Wavelength: 25%. This will create a wavy distortion effect.

PRO TIP: The Glitch Effect in Photoshop can be achieved by using the ‘displace’ filter. However, if not done correctly, this filter can cause your image to become distorted.

Next, go to Filter > Artistic > Plastic Wrap. Use the following settings: Highlight Strength: 50%, Detail: 20%, Texture: Smooth. This will add a plastic wrap effect to the image.

Finally, go to Filter > Stylize > Wind. Use the following settings: Direction: From the Right, Strength: Strong. This will add a wind effect to the image.

There you have it! These simple steps will help you create a glitch effect in Photoshop that is sure to turn heads.
