Figma is a vector drawing program that lets you create illustrations, wireframes, user interfaces, and websites. It’s available for macOS, Windows, and Linux.

PRO TIP: Figma diagrams can be extremely helpful in understanding a design system, but they can also be very confusing and overwhelming. If you’re not familiar with Figma, it’s probably best to avoid trying to draw one until you have a better understanding of the tool.

So how do you draw a Figma diagram?

There are four basic steps:

  1. Create a new frame. This is where you’ll draw your diagram. You can create a new frame by clicking the “+” icon in the toolbar.
  2. Draw your diagram. Use the various tools in the toolbar to draw shapes, lines, and text.

You can also duplicate existing elements and move them around to create your diagram.

  3. Add interactions. Add interactivity to your diagram by adding hotspots or links. Hotspots let you add hover effects or triggers for animations. Links let you link to other pages or website.
  4. Export your diagram. Once you’re happy with your diagram, you can export it as an image or PDF file.

That’s all there is to it! With these four simple steps, you can create complex and interactive diagrams using Figma.
