How do you get a prototype in Figma?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 6:41 pm

If you want to create a prototype in Figma, there are a few things you need to do. First, you need to create a new project. Then, within the project, you will need to click on the “Create prototype” button. After clicking on this button, you will be prompted to select a template. Choosing the right template will help determine the design and layout of your prototype. After selecting a template, you will then be prompted to select a project type. The project type will determine the features and functionality of your prototype.

PRO TIP: When prototyping in Figma, be sure to use the correct frame rate and easing curves for your animation. If you are unsure about either of these, ask a Figma expert or consult the Figma documentation. Improperly configured prototypes can cause visual artifacts and/or poor performance.

After selecting a project type, you will be prompted to select a file type. Choosing a file type will determine the file format of your prototype. After selecting a file type, you will then be prompted to select a project language. The project language will determine the language of the prototypes files. Finally, you will be prompted to enter a name for your prototype. After entering a name for your prototype, your prototype will be created.
