How Do You Join Strokes in Figma?

Last updated on November 26, 2022 @ 1:30 pm

Figma is a vector design and animation tool with a focus on usability, speed, and collaboration. One of the main ways it differentiates itself from other design tools is its use of strokes.

In Figma, you can join two strokes together to create a single, continuous line.

There are two ways to do this:

1. Use the Join Strokes button

To join strokes together using the Join Strokes button:

  • Select the two strokes you want to join together.
  • Click the Join Strokes button in the toolbar.

2. Use the keyboard shortcut

To join strokes together using the keyboard shortcut:

  • Select the first stroke you want to join.
  • Hold down Shift on your keyboard.
  • Click on the second stroke you want to join.
  • Press J on your keyboard.
PRO TIP: If you are not careful when joining strokes in Figma, you may end up with unwanted results. Make sure to preview your work before finalizing any changes.
