How Do You Make a Broken Glass in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 9:31 pm

There are a few different ways that you can create a broken glass effect in Photoshop, and each has its own advantages and disadvantages.

One way to create a broken glass effect is to use the Pen Tool to draw a path around the edge of the glass. Once you have the path drawn, you can then use the Stroke Path command to stroke the path with a black brush.

This will give you a nice, clean break line. However, this method can be time-consuming, and it can be difficult to get the path to look exactly right.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, then this tutorial is not for you. Broken glass is a very difficult effect to create, and if you are not careful, you can easily damage your computer.

Another way to create a broken glass effect is to use the Eraser Tool. This method is much quicker than using the Pen Tool, but it can be difficult to get a clean break line. You may need to experiment with different brush sizes and hardness levels to find one that works well for you.

Once you have your break line created, you can then add some shattered glass fragments. To do this, simply create a new layer and use the Brush Tool to paint in some white pixels.

Then, use the Blur Tool to blur the edges of the pixels. This will give you a nice, realistic shattered glass effect.
