How Do You Make a Fade Video in Canva?

There are a few ways that you can make a fade video using Canva.

Method One: Fade In/Out

This method is done by using both fade in and fade out. You can find both options under Timeline tab. By clicking on fade in, a white dot will appear. You need to click and hold, then drag it towards left until it reaches beginning of your video.Repeat this step for fade out, but instead of dragging it towards left, you need to drag it towards right until it reaches end of your video.

PRO TIP: This article contains instructions on how to make a fade video in Canva, which is a free online design platform. However, it is important to note that fade videos can only be created in the paid version of Canva. Therefore, if you are using the free version of Canva, you will not be able to create a fade video.

Method Two: Opacity

The second method is by using Opacity tool which you can find on toolbar.

By clicking on opacity icon, another white dot will appear. Follow step from method one but instead of going towards Timeline tab, you go towards Opacity tab.

Method Three: Crossfade

The third (and probably easiest) method is by using Crossfade tool which is also found on toolbar next to Opacity tool. By clicking Crossfade icon, two white dots will appear on both sides of your videos respectively. To create fading effect, simply click and hold one of those dots then drag it either towards left or right.

Conclusion:

All three methods will give you desired fading effect for your videos!
