How Do You Make a Figma GIF?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 9:05 pm

Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool – the first interface design tool with vector networks. It lets you draw any frame in a Figma file as a gif.

To make a Figma gif, first open the file you want to animate in the software. Then, select the frame or frames you want to animate and click “Create Gif” in the top toolbar.

A new window will pop up, allowing you to customize your gif’s settings. Once you’re happy with your settings, click “Create Gif” and Figma will generate your gif!

PRO TIP: Before making any GIFs, please be aware that Figma currently only supports exporting GIFs at a maximum resolution of 128x128px.

Creating gifs in Figma is a great way to add some personality to your designs and make them come alive. Plus, it’s a fun way to show off your work to others!
