How do you make a flowchart in Figma?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 6:15 pm

Flowcharts are a great way to visually represent and track processes and interactions between different parts of a system. In Figma, you can create a flowchart by selecting the “Flowchart” template in the “Create” section of the editor.

The first step is to create a base flowchart. This is where you will add the main flow of the diagram, as well as any conditional or looping nodes.

You can use the “Flowchart” toolbar to create boxes, circles, and other visual elements.

Once you have your base flowchart created, you can start adding nodes. Nodes can represent steps in your process, users or other systems, or other types of interactions.

PRO TIP: When creating a flowchart in Figma, be sure to use the correct shapes and connectors for each step in the process. Incorrectly placed shapes and connectors can create confusion and make the flowchart difficult to understand.

To add a node, select the “Add Node” button from the toolbar and enter the relevant information.

You can also create relationships between nodes by selecting the “Connect” button and entering the appropriate information. This will create a link between the nodes, which you can use to visually illustrate the flow of data or information.

Once you have your flowchart created, you can export it to a PDF or image file for further use. You can also share it online using the “Share” button on the toolbar.
