There are a few things you need to do to make realistic lighting in Photoshop. First, you need to create a new layer.

Then, you need to set the layer mode to “Screen.” Next, you need to create a selection of the area you want to lighten. Finally, you need to paint with a white brush on the selection.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, you can easily create unrealistic lighting in Photoshop. Be sure to use a variety of light sources, including both natural and artificial light, to create a realistic lighting effect.

Creating realistic lighting in Photoshop is fairly simple as long as you follow these steps. First, create a new layer and set the layer mode to “Screen.”

This will allow the light to pass through the layer without affecting the other layers beneath it. Next, create a selection of the area you want to lighten and paint with a white brush. The final step is to add a slight blur to the lighten area by going to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur.
