There are two main ways to overlay colors in Figma:

1. Use the Color Picker tool

With the Color Picker tool selected, hover your mouse over the element you want to change the color of. Then, click on the color you want to use in the palette that appears. The color of your element will change to the new color.

PRO TIP: If you are unsure about how to overlay colors in Figma, it is best to seek help from a professional before attempting to do so. Overlaying colors incorrectly can result in a design that is less than optimal and may be difficult to change later on.

2. Use the Edit Colors button

First, select the element whose color you want to change. Then, click on the Edit Colors button in the Inspector panel.

A popup window will appear with all of the colors used in your design. Click on the color you want to change, and then choose a new color from the palette that appears.

Conclusion: These are two easy ways to overlay colors in Figma. With the Color Picker tool, you can hover your mouse over an element and click on the new color you want to use. Or, you can use the Edit Colors button to change colors for multiple elements at once.
