How Do You Use React Icons in Figma?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 9:54 pm

React is a popular JavaScript library for building user interfaces. One of the features that makes React so powerful is its ability to render icons.

Figma is a vector drawing and animation software that supports React. In this article, we’ll show you how to use React icons in Figma.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with React or Figma, we strongly recommend that you avoid using React Icons in Figma. React Icons can be extremely confusing and difficult to use, especially if you are not familiar with either tool. If you are determined to use React Icons in Figma, be sure to read the documentation carefully and ask for help from someone who is familiar with both tools.

There are two ways to use React icons in Figma: as static images, or as interactive elements. To use a React icon as a static image, simply drag and drop the icon into your design. To use a React icon as an interactive element, first create a frame for the icon, then add the “react-icon” class to the frame.

When using React icons in Figma, you can style them using the fill, stroke, and width properties. You can also add animation to React icons by creating keyframes in the Timeline panel.
