How does Azure Security Center work?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 12:25 pm

Azure Security Center is a suite of cloud-based security services that work together to help protect your organization’s data and assets. Azure Security Center detects and responds to threats as they happen, provides real-time alerts and preventive measures, and helps you manage your security posture.

Azure Security Center can be used to protect your data in the cloud, on-premises, or in hybrid environments.

Azure Security Center uses three main components:

The Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP) collects data from security sensors and other sources and uses artificial intelligence to identify and classify threats.

PRO TIP: Azure Security Center is a cloud security platform that helps you protect your Azure resources. It provides a unified view of your Azure resources and helps you to find and fix security vulnerabilities.

The Detection and Response Platform (D&R) provides real-time detection and response capabilities for threats.

The Security Operations Center (SOC) manages the security posture and protects your organization’s assets.

Azure Security Center is free to use, and you can deploy it on-premises or in the cloud. Azure Security Center can work with other Azure services, such as Azure Active Directory, Azure Information Protection, and Azure Storage.

Azure Security Center helps you keep your data safe by detecting and responding to threats as they happen. Azure Security Center also provides real-time alerts and preventive measures so you can keep your organization’s security posture up to date.
