How Does Shopify Appear on Bank Statement?

Last updated on October 2, 2022 @ 12:51 am

When a Shopify store owner uses a credit or debit card to pay their Shopify bill, the transaction will appear on their bank statement. The name that will appear on the statement will depend on how the store owner has set up their Shopify account.

If the store owner has set up their Shopify account with their own personal information, then the name that will appear on the bank statement will be the same as the name on the credit or debit card. If the store owner has set up their Shopify account with a business name, then the business name will appear on the bank statement.

PRO TIP: If you are using Shopify to sell products online, you may be wondering how it will appear on your bank statement. When a customer purchases something from your shop, the transaction will appear as “Shopify Payments” on their bank statement.

If the store owner has set up their Shopify account with a unique email address, then the email address will appear on the bank statement. If the store owner has set up their Shopify account with a generic email address, then the word “Shopify” will appear on the bank statement.

The transaction will also include the date of purchase and the amount of money that was spent.
