How Does Shopify Chat Work?

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about using Shopify Chat to communicate with your customers, be aware that there have been some reports of the service not working as intended. In particular, some users have reported that they are not able to receive messages from Shopify Chat, or that the service is very slow.

Shopify Chat is a great way to connect with customers and build relationships. It allows you to provide customer service, answer product questions, and make sales.

Shopify Chat is a desktop app that you can download from the Shopify website. Once you have installed it, you will need to create a Shopify account and login. After that, you can start chatting with customers.

To start a chat, simply click on the “Chat” button in the Shopify admin. This will open up a new window where you can type in your message. You can also use the “Send” button to send pre-written messages, such as “I’m away from my desk right now, but I’ll be back soon!” or “Can I help you with anything?”

If a customer sends you a message, you will see it in the chat window. You can then reply to the customer directly in the chat window. The conversation will be saved so that you can refer back to it later if needed.

You can also use Shopify Chat to make sales. To do this, simply click on the “Products” tab in the chat window.

This will open up a list of products that you sell. You can then click on the product that you want to sell and add it to the cart. The customer will then be able to purchase the product directly from the chat window.
