What does bid mean on UpWork?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 9:45 pm

Bid is the price you are willing to pay for a job. When you create a project on UpWork, you specify your budget and the number of hours you are willing to work.

PRO TIP: When a client posts a job on Upwork, they are asked to provide a budget for the project. This budget is called the “bid.” The bid is the maximum amount that the client is willing to pay for the project. If you are bidding on a project, you should make sure that your bid is within the client’s budget. Otherwise, you may be wasting your time and the client’s money.

UpWork then calculates the bid for each project based on your budget and hours.
