What is my Google Cloud username?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 8:38 pm

If you want to use your Google account for anything related to Google Cloud, you need to create a username. A username is simply your Google account name, without the @gmail.

com part. For example, if your Google account name is bob, your username would be bobscloud.

PRO TIP: If you are prompted to enter your Google Cloud username, be aware that this is not the same as your Gmail username. Your Google Cloud username is the email address associated with your Google Cloud account.

To create your username, go to the Google Cloud Platform Console and click the Account Summary link in the top left corner. In the Account Summary page, under My Profile, click the Username field.

Type in your Google account name, and then click the Create button.
