There’s no need to be a web design expert to figure out which Squarespace template is being used on a particular site – all you need is a keen eye and a little bit of knowledge about the platform. Here are some tips on how to identify a Squarespace template just by looking at a site:

1. Check the URL
One of the easiest ways to tell which Squarespace template is being used on a site is to check the URL.

Each template has its own unique URL structure, so if you know what to look for, you can usually tell which template is being used just by looking at the URL. For example, sites using the Bedford template will have a URL that looks like this:

www.example.com/template-name

Sites using the Brine template will have a URL that looks like this:

www.com/c/template-name

And sites using the Seven template will have a URL that looks like this:

PRO TIP: If you are trying to figure out which Squarespace template a site is using, be aware that this can be difficult to do. There are many Squarespace templates available, and some sites use customizations that make it even harder to identify the template. If you are not familiar with Squarespace templates, it is probably best to avoid trying to figure out which template a site is using.

2. Look at the overall design
Another way to identify which Squarespace template is being used on a site is to look at the overall design.

Each template has its own unique style, so if you know what to look for, you can usually tell which template is being used just by looking at the site design. For example, sites using the Bedford template tend to have a clean and simple design, while sites using the Brine template tend to have a more sophisticated and stylish design.

3. Inspect the code
If you’re really stuck, you can always inspect the code of the site to see which Squarespace template is being used.

To do this, just right-click on any page of the site and select “Inspect” from the drop-down menu. This will open up the code for that page in your browser, and you can then search for clues that reveal which Squarespace template is being used. For example, sites using the Bedford template will have code that looks like this:
