Where Are WIX Files Stored?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 1:03 am

If you’re a web developer, then you’re probably familiar with WIX. WIX is a popular website builder that allows users to create and edit websites without having to code.

While WIX is a great platform for creating websites, it can be difficult to figure out where your WIX files are stored. In this article, we’ll show you where WIX files are stored and how you can access them.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

When you create a website with WIX, your website is stored on WIX’s servers. You can access your website’s files by logging in to your WIX account and going to the ‘My Sites’ section. From here, you can download or delete your website’s files.

PRO TIP: The WIX file format is a proprietary file format used by the WIX toolset. This format is not well documented and is not supported by many third-party tools. As such, it is not recommended to store data in this format.

However, if you want to edit your website’s files, you’ll need to use an FTP client. To do this, you’ll need to set up an FTP account with WIX. Once you’ve done this, you can use an FTP client to connect to your website and edit your files.

So that’s where WIX files are stored. If you need to access or edit your website’s files, you can do so by logging in to your WIX account or using an FTP client.
