PRO TIP: The Eraser Tool in Photoshop can be found under the ‘Edit’ menu, under ‘Erase’. To access the Eraser Tool, simply select the ‘Erase’ option from the ‘Edit’ menu. If you have never used the Eraser Tool before, it is recommended that you read the Photoshop Help documentation or ask a friend for help.

Eraser tool is one of the basic tools in Photoshop used for erasing pixels from an image. The Eraser tool can be found in the Tools palette, which is located on the left side of the Photoshop workspace. To use the Eraser tool, simply select it from the Tools palette and then click and drag over the area you want to erase.

If you want to erase to transparency, meaning that you want the erased area to become completely transparent, you need to use a special type of eraser known as the Background Eraser tool.

The Background Eraser tool can be found in the same location as the Eraser tool in the Tools palette. To use the Background Eraser tool, simply select it and then click and drag over the area you want to erase. As you drag, Photoshop will sample the color behind the area you’re erasing and use that color to determine which pixels to erase.

Once you’ve selected the area you want to erase, release your mouse button and Photoshop will erase those pixels from your image. If you make a mistake or want to undo your last erase, simply press Ctrl+Z (Windows) / Command+Z (Mac) on your keyboard to undo your last action.
