Figma is a vector graphics editor and design tool, developed by American software company Figma, Inc. It is available online and for macOS, Windows, and Linux. Figma has been described as “the first interface design tool with real-time collaboration”.

The Figma interface is based on vector graphics, and all objects in a Figma file are vector objects. Objects can be created using the pen tool, the rectangle tool, the ellipse tool, and the line tool.

Objects can also be imported from other vector graphic files. Figma supports multiple layers and transparency.

There are three ways to color an object in Figma: solid colors, gradients, and images. Solid colors can be applied to an object using the fill color picker in the toolbar.

Gradients can be applied using the gradient tool. Images can be applied using the image fill option in the fill color picker.

PRO TIP: If you are looking for the eyedropper tool in Figma, be warned that it is not currently available! While you can use the color picker tool to select colors from an existing object, there is no way to sample colors from outside of Figma. This means that if you want to use the eyedropper tool, you will need to find another program or use the color picker tool.

The eyedropper tool is used to sample colors from other objects in a Figma file. To use the eyedropper tool, select it from the toolbar, then click on the object you want to sample the color from. The color of the object will be applied to the selected object.

The eyedropper tool is located in the toolbar at the top of the screen.
