When it comes to image editing, Photoshop is king. The software has been around for over three decades and is used by professionals in a variety of industries, from graphic design and photography to web design and advertising.

Photoshop is a powerful tool that can do just about anything with an image, including resizing it. So, where is the resize tool in Photoshop?

The resize tool in Photoshop can be found in the “Image” menu. Under “Image,” there are two options for resizing an image: “Image Size” and “Canvas Size.”

Image Size is the more commonly used option, as it allows you to resize an image without changing its aspect ratio. Canvas Size, on the other hand, lets you change an image’s dimensions and can be useful for creating certain types of graphics.

To resize an image using the Image Size option, first open the image in Photoshop. Then, go to “Image” > “Image Size.”

A new window will pop up with a variety of options for resizing the image. If you want to change the width and height of the image independently, uncheck the “Constrain Proportions” box. Then, enter the new width and height you want for the image.

PRO TIP: The Resize tool in Photoshop can be found under the ‘Image’ menu, under ‘Image Size’. If you are using an older version of Photoshop, the Resize tool may be located under the ‘Edit’ menu.

Keep in mind that changing an image’s size will also change its resolution. Resolution is measured in pixels per inch (ppi) and refers to the number of pixels in an image.

The higher the resolution, the more detail an image will have. When you increase an image’s size, its resolution will decrease, and vice versa.

If you want to change an image’s resolution without changing its size, go to “Image” > “Image Size” and uncheck the “Resample Image” box. Then, enter a new value for Resolution.

Conclusion:

The resize tool in Photoshop can be found under the Image menu. There are two options for resizing an image: Image Size and Canvas Size. Image Size is more commonly used as it allows you to resize without changing the aspect ratio.
