Where Is the Tracking in Photoshop?

Last updated on January 25, 2023 @ 4:36 pm

As digital photographers, we are in love with Photoshop. We use it for nearly everything we do, from organizing our photos to fixing problem areas to creating beautiful works of art.

But one thing we don’t often use Photoshop for is tracking our photos. And that’s a shame, because tracking is a powerful tool that can help us keep our photos organized and make sure we’re getting the most out of our workflow.

So, where is the tracking in Photoshop? The answer is that it’s hidden away in the “File Info” dialog box.

To access it, go to File > File Info. Once you’re in the File Info dialog box, go to the “Advanced” tab and you’ll see the tracking options near the bottom.

The tracking options in Photoshop are pretty basic, but they’re still useful. You can track when a file was last opened, when it was last saved, and how many times it’s been saved.

You can also add notes to each file. To do this, just click on the “Add Note” button and type in your note.

PRO TIP: This article discusses the lack of tracking features in Adobe Photoshop and offers several workaround solutions. While the article is helpful, it does not offer a comprehensive solution to the problem.

Tracking your files can be helpful in a number of ways. First, it can help you keep your files organized.

If you know when you last worked on a file, you can easily find it again later. Second, tracking can help you troubleshoot problems with your workflow. If you notice that a particular file is being saved more often than others, it might be an indication that something is wrong with your workflow and you need to take a closer look at it.

So next time you’re in Photoshop, take a look at the tracking options and see how they can help you improve your workflow.
