There are a few different ways to take color samples in Photoshop, but the most common is to use the Eyedropper Tool. To select this tool, simply click on the Eyedropper icon in the Photoshop toolbar, or press the letter “I” on your keyboard.

Once selected, you can click anywhere on your image to take a color sample from that location.

You can also take multiple color samples at once by holding down the Shift key while you click. This is helpful if you want to average out the colors of a large area, or if you’re trying to match colors from different parts of your image.

To take a color sample from an exact location, you can use the Color Sampler Tool. This tool lets you place up to four color samplers on your image, which can be helpful when you’re trying to match colors precisely.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Photoshop, taking a color sample can be tricky. The tool you use to take the color sample can make a big difference in the accuracy of the color. Be sure to use the Eyedropper Tool (I) and not the Color Sampler Tool (Shift+I). The Color Sampler Tool will give you an average of the colors in your image, while the Eyedropper Tool will give you the exact color of the pixel you click on.

To select the Color Sampler Tool, click on its icon in the Photoshop toolbar, or press the letter “S” on your keyboard. Once selected, click anywhere on your image to place a color sampler.

You can then move this sampler around by clicking and dragging it to a new location. To delete a color sampler, simply click on it and press the delete key on your keyboard.

So, which tool should you use to take color samples in Photoshop? If you’re just trying to get a general idea of the colors in an image, then the Eyedropper Tool is probably all you need. But if you’re trying to match colors precisely, then the Color Sampler Tool will come in handy.

The best tool to take color samples in Photoshop is the Color Sampler Tool because it lets you place up to four color samplers on your image and helps when trying to match colors precisely.
