Why Can’t I Print Shipping Labels on Shopify?

Last updated on January 12, 2023 @ 3:19 pm

Have you ever gone to print a shipping label on Shopify, only to be met with the following error message?

“We’re sorry, but we can’t print your shipping label at this time. Please try again later.”

It’s frustrating, we know. But don’t worry, you’re not alone. Many Shopify merchants have experienced this issue at one time or another.

There are a few reasons why this error message may pop up when you try to print a shipping label on Shopify.

1. Your Shopify plan

One of the most common reasons for this error message is because you’re on a lower Shopify plan. If you’re on the Basic Shopify or Shopify plan, you’ll need to upgrade to a higher plan in order to print shipping labels directly from Shopify.

PRO TIP: If you are having trouble printing shipping labels on Shopify, there are a few things you can check. First, make sure that you have a printer connected to your computer and that it is turned on. Next, check the printer settings to make sure that the correct printer is selected and that the paper size is set to the correct size. Finally, check the Shopify settings to make sure that you have the correct label size selected. If you are still having trouble, contact Shopify support for help.

2. Incorrect address

Another reason why this error message may appear is because the address you’ve entered is incorrect or incomplete. Make sure that all the required fields are filled out correctly, such as the country, state/province, and zip/postal code.

3. Out-of-date browser

An outdated browser can also cause problems when trying to print shipping labels on Shopify. We recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

If you’re still having trouble printing your shipping label after following these steps, please contact our support team for further assistance.
