Why Does My Shopify Say Coming Soon?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 4:21 pm

If you’ve ever set up a new Shopify store, you’ve probably seen the “Coming Soon” page. This is the default landing page for new stores, and it’s a great way to let your visitors know that your store is coming soon. But what if you’ve been using Shopify for a while, and your store still says “Coming Soon”?

There are a few possible reasons why your Shopify store might say “Coming Soon.” First, it’s possible that you haven’t published your store yet.

In order to make your store live for the world to see, you’ll need to hit the “Publish” button in your Shopify admin. Once you do that, your store will be live and accessible to anyone who visits your domain.

Another possibility is that you have published your store, but you’ve set it to “Password Protected.” This means that anyone who visits your store will need to enter a password in order to gain access. You can set or remove a password for your store at any time from the “Password Protection” page in your Shopify admin.

PRO TIP: If you see the message “Coming Soon” on your Shopify store, it means that your store is not yet open to the public. This message is displayed automatically when you first create your store, and can also be displayed if you close your store temporarily.

If you’re trying to open your store and see the “Coming Soon” message, it means that you haven’t completed the required steps to open your store. To complete these steps and open your store:

1) Log in to your Shopify admin.
2) Click Settings, then click General.
3) In the Store status section, select Open.
4) Click Save.

Finally, it’s possible that you’re using a theme that has a “Coming Soon” page enabled. Some themes come with built-in “Coming Soon” pages that are displayed by default. If you’re using one of these themes and you want to get rid of the “Coming Soon” page, you’ll need to switch to a different theme.

If your Shopify store says “Coming Soon,” there’s no need to worry. In most cases, it’s an easy fix.

Just hit the “Publish” button in your admin, or switch to a different theme if necessary. Your visitors will be able to see your store in no time.
