Can Figma Export as PDF?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 9:22 pm

Figma is a vector-based design tool that is gaining popularity in the design community. One of the reasons for its popularity is its ability to export designs as PDFs.

This is a handy feature for designers who want to share their work with clients or colleagues but don’t want to give them access to the source file. In this article, we’ll take a look at how to export a design from Figma as a PDF.

When you’re ready to export your design from Figma, go to the File menu and select Export > PDF from the drop-down menu.

PRO TIP: Figma can export as PDF, but it is not recommended. The quality of the PDF is not as good as other formats, and it can be difficult to edit the PDF after exporting.

This will open the Export PDF dialog box. Here you can choose where you want to save the file and what resolution you want it exported at. The default resolution is 72 PPI, but you can increase this to 150 PPI or 300 PPI if you need a higher quality PDF.

Once you’ve chosen your settings, click the Export button and your PDF will be saved.

Figma’s PDF export feature is a great way to share your designs with clients or colleagues while keeping your source files safe. Just remember to choose an appropriate resolution for your needs.
