Can I Report Someone on UpWork?

Last updated on September 30, 2022 @ 9:46 pm

If you’re a freelancer who uses UpWork to find work, you may be wondering if you can report someone on the platform. Unfortunately, there is no mechanism in place to allow users to file formal complaints against each other.

However, there are still some steps you can take if you feel that you’ve been mistreated by another user.

The first thing you should do is reach out to UpWork’s support team and explain your situation. They may be able to take action against the user in question, or at least offer some advice on how to deal with the situation.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that you should only report someone on Upwork if you believe they have violated our Terms of Service. If you make a false report, you may be subject to disciplinary action from Upwork.

If UpWork’s support team is unable to help, your next step should be to post about your experience in one of the many freelancer forums that exist online. These forums are a great way to warn other users about bad apples, and they can also help you find others who have had similar experiences.

Finally, if you feel like you’re being harassed or otherwise mistreated by another user, you can always block them. This will prevent them from being able to contact you or view your profile, and it will hopefully put an end to the problem.

reporting someone on UpWork is not possible. If you have been mistreated by another user, the best thing to do is reach out to UpWork’s support team or post about your experience in one of the many freelancer forums that exist online.
