We all know how important typography is to the overall design of a project. But what happens when you want to use a custom font that isn’t available in Figma? Can you still use your fonts in Figma?

The answer is yes! You can use your fonts in Figma by first converting them into vector files.

This can be done using a tool like Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape. Once you have converted your fonts into vector files, you can then upload them into Figma. To do this, simply go to File > Add from your computer.

PRO TIP: When using fonts in Figma, please be aware that there are some limitations. Fonts can only be used in vector objects, and they cannot be used in bitmap images. Additionally, only certain fonts can be used in Figma, and some fonts may not work well with certain browsers or devices.

Once you’ve added your fonts to Figma, you can then use them in any text field. Simply select the text field, click on the font drop-down menu, and select the font you want to use. Your custom font will now be applied to the selected text!

So there you have it! You can absolutely use your custom fonts in Figma by first converting them into vector files. This will allow you to use your fonts in any text field, giving you even more control over the overall design of your project.
