You can use your own domain name with Squarespace!

If you have a domain name already, you can use it with your Squarespace website. You can either transfer your domain to Squarespace or connect it to Squarespace.

If you don’t have a domain name already, you can purchase one through Squarespace. Once you have a domain name, you can use it with your Squarespace website by connecting it or transferring it to Squarespace.

PRO TIP: If you choose to use a custom domain name with Squarespace, be aware that you will need to update your DNS settings. You will also need to set up email forwarding for your custom domain.

Connecting your domain means that your domain is registered with a third-party provider and points to your Squarespace website. You can connect most domains, including domains registered with GoDaddy, Hover, Namecheap, 1&1, and others.

When you connect your domain, DNS settings propagate throughout the internet within 24-48 hours. This means that visitors will be able to find your website at yourdomain.com.

Transferring your domain means that you’re moving your registration from your current registrar to Squarespace. This process changes your DNS settings and can take up to 72 hours for DNS changes to propagate throughout the internet. Once the transfer is complete, visitors will be able to find your website at yourdomain.

Conclusion: You can use your own domain name with Squarespace! You can either transfer your domain to Squarespace or connect it to Squarespace. If you don’t have a domain name already, you can purchase one through Squarespace.
