Can You Add a Background in Photoshop?

You can use Photoshop to add a background to an image by opening the image in Photoshop and then selecting the “Layer” menu. Next, select “New Layer” from the drop-down menu. A new layer will appear in the “Layers” palette.

Now, select the “Background” layer in the “Layers” palette and then click on the “Add a layer mask” icon at the bottom of the palette. The “Layer Mask Options” dialog box will appear. Make sure the “White (full transparency)” option is selected and then click “OK”.
