Can You Add SoundCloud to Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 7:42 am

There’s no doubt that Squarespace is a powerful website builder. But can it also be used to add SoundCloud content to your site?

The short answer is yes! You can add SoundCloud content to Squarespace by embedding the code into a code block element. Here’s how:

1. Go to the SoundCloud page that contains the audio you want to embed on your Squarespace site. 2. Click the Share button and then click the Embed button. 3.

Copy the code that appears in the Embed Code box. 4. In your Squarespace site editor, go to the page or post where you want to add the audio player and click on the Code Block element. 5. Paste the code into the Code Block and click Apply.

PRO TIP: If you are considering adding SoundCloud to your Squarespace website, be aware that there are some potential risks involved. First and foremost, if you are not careful, it is possible to accidentally embed a track that is copyrighted and could result in a lawsuit. Additionally, if you use a free SoundCloud account, your tracks could be deleted at any time without warning, which could disrupt your website.

That’s all there is to it! Your audio should now appear on your Squarespace site.

One thing to keep in mind is that Squarespace doesn’t currently support HTTPS embeds, so if your SoundCloud content is only available via HTTPS, it won’t work on Squarespace. However, you can still link to your HTTPS content from another page or post on your site.

So there you have it! You can easily add SoundCloud content to your Squarespace site by embedding the code into a code block element.
