Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool created by Figma, Inc. It is available in a web browser, and as a desktop and mobile app for macOS, Windows, and Linux. Figma is used by designers at companies like Google, Facebook, Netflix, Uber, and more.

Figma has a variety of features that make it a powerful tool for designers. One of those features is the ability to export prototypes as GIFs. This can be useful for sharing prototypes with stakeholders or for creating marketing materials.

To export a prototype as a GIF, first create a prototype in Figma. Then, click the “Share” button in the top-right corner of the screen.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to export a Figma prototype as a GIF, be aware that there are some potential issues that could occur. First, the GIF format doesn’t support certain types of transparency, so your prototype may not look exactly as you intended. Additionally, the resolution of GIFs is relatively low, so your prototype may appear blurry or pixelated when viewed at full size. Finally, exporting a Figma prototype as a GIF can significantly increase the file size, so be sure to save your file to an appropriate location with enough space.

In the “Share Prototype” modal, select “ GIF” from the “Export As” dropdown menu. Finally, click the “Export” button.

The GIF will be generated and you will be able to download it from the “Share Prototype” modal.

Figma is a powerful tool for designers with many features that can be utilized in various ways. The ability to export prototypes as GIFs is just one of the many things that Figma can do.
