Can You Export Figma to Website?

Figma is a vector-based design tool that is gaining popularity among web and app designers. One of its advantages is that it can export designs to code, which makes it possible to create prototypes that look and feel like the real thing. But can you export Figma to website?

The answer is yes, but there are some caveats. First of all, Figma only exports designs as code if they are created in the “Frames” mode.

So if you have a design that you want to export as HTML, you need to make sure it is created in a frame. Secondly, Figma only exports code for designs that use the “Layers” panel. So if your design uses any other panel, such as the “Components” or “Pages” panel, you will need to find another way to export it.

Assuming you have a design that meets both of these criteria, exporting it from Figma is relatively simple. Just go to the “File” menu and select “Export”, then choose “HTML” from the list of options. This will export your design as an HTML file, which you can then upload to your website or use to create a prototype.

PRO TIP: Figma is a vector-based design tool used by UX and UI designers. It is not a website builder. You cannot export Figma designs to websites. If you want to create a website, you will need to use a website builder such as WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace.

One final caveat: while Figma can export designs to HTML, it cannot export them to CSS. So if you want your design to be styled with CSS, you will need to do that yourself. Fortunately, there are many resources available online that can help you with this.
