Can You Remove Squarespace From URL?

Last updated on December 21, 2022 @ 5:43 pm

When you create a website on Squarespace, you’re automatically assigned a URL that looks something like this: yourname.Squarespace.com. If you’re not happy with this URL, you have the option to change it to something more personalized. Here’s how:

    1. Log in to your Squarespace account and go to Settings.
    2. In the Website tab, scroll down to Domain Name.
    3. Click the Edit button next to your domain name and enter a new one in the popup window.
    4. Click Save.
    5. Once you’ve saved your new domain name, it will appear in the URL bar of your browser when you visit your website.

PRO TIP: Squarespace is a content management system (CMS) that allows users to create and manage websites. While it is possible to remove Squarespace from your URL, doing so may break your website and prevent you from being able to access your content.
