Can You Scale Text in Figma?

Last updated on November 30, 2022 @ 1:48 pm

There are a few different ways that you can scale text in Figma. You can use the Transform tool to scale the text object itself, or you can use the Scale command in the Type menu to resize all of the text within the frame at once.

To scale the text object itself, select it and then click and drag one of the handles in the Transform panel. You can also enter specific values in the Width and Height fields.

To scale all of the text within a frame, select the frame and then choose Scale from the Type menu. Enter a percentage value in the Scale field and click Apply.

You can also style text in HTML using < p >, < b > and < u > tags where applicable.

PRO TIP: If you are looking to scale text in Figma, be warned that this is not possible. While you can resize text objects, the text within those objects will not scale. This means that if you make a text object too small, the text within it will become unreadable.
