Can You Share a Figma Link?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 9:29 am

Sharing a Figma link is a great way to collaborate with others on a design project. When you share a link, you can give view-only access or allow editing privileges. To share a link, go to the File menu and select Share.

If you’re working on a public project, you can also share the link by copying it from the address bar. Anyone with the link will be able to view or edit the project, depending on the permissions you set.

PRO TIP: If you are planning to share a Figma link, please be aware that the recipient will need to have a Figma account in order to access the file. If the recipient does not have a Figma account, they will not be able to view the file.

When sharing a link, you can also set an expiration date. This is useful if you’re working on a time-sensitive project and don’t want the link to be active forever. To set an expiration date, go to the Share menu and select Link Settings.

If you need to share a lot of files, Figma also has a collaboration feature called Teams. With Teams, you can invite others to join your workspace and work together on projects. To learn more about Teams, check out our blog post.
