If you’re applying to a design-focused company, your resume should reflect your design skills. One way to do this is by editing your resume in Photoshop.

You can add graphics, change the font and even insert your own photos to make your resume stand out. Here’s how to edit your resume in Photoshop:

  1. Open your resume in Photoshop. If you don’t have a Photoshop-formatted resume, you can create one by opening a blank document and pasting your text into it. To do this, go to File > New > Document.
  2. Select the Type tool from the toolbar (it looks like a T).
  3. Click anywhere on the document and type out your text. You can change the font by selecting the text and clicking on the font family drop-down menu in the Character panel (Window > Character).
  4. To insert photos or graphics, go to File > Place. Choose an image from your computer and click Place.
  5. Resize the image by dragging one of the corner handles. To keep the image proportional, hold down Shift while you’re dragging.
  6. Once you’re happy with how everything looks, go to File > Save As and choose a file format that will be compatible with the company’s application system.

Editing your resume in Photoshop is a great way to make it stand out from the crowd. Just be sure to save it in a compatible file format so that it can be read by the company’s application system.

PRO TIP: If you are considering editing your resume in Photoshop, be aware that this can be a time-consuming process. You will need to have a good understanding of the software in order to create a professional-looking document. Additionally, keep in mind that most employers will prefer a Word document or PDF.
