How connect Postgres database to DigitalOcean?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 1:36 pm

If you’re looking to connect your Postgres database to a cloud-based hosting provider like DigitalOcean, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, make sure you have an account with the provider and have created a new droplet. Once you have your droplet created, you’ll need to configure it to connect to your Postgres database. To do this, open the droplet’s settings page and click the “Add a Server” button.

PRO TIP: Please note that connecting your Postgres database to DigitalOcean can be risky and may result in data loss or corruption. Please backup your database before proceeding.

On the next page, enter the IP address or hostname of your Postgres server, and click the “Connect” button. You’ll then be prompted to enter your Postgres user credentials. Once you have entered these details, your Postgres server will be connected to your droplet and you’ll be able to start working with it as usual.
