How Do I Add a Category Menu in Squarespace?

There are a few different ways to add a category menu in Squarespace. One way is to use the built-in navigation options.

To do this, go to the “Design” tab and click on “Navigation.” From there, you can add a new navigation item and select “Categories” from the drop-down menu.

Another way to add a category menu is to use the code injection feature. To do this, go to the “Settings” tab and click on “Advanced.” Then, scroll down to the “Code Injection” section and add the following code:

You can also add a category menu by using a third-party plugin or widget. There are a few different plugins and widgets that you can use, but one that we recommend is the “Squarespace Categories” plugin by Squarebits.

This plugin is free and easy to use. Simply install it and then go to the “Squarespace Categories” settings page to configure it.

Once you’ve added your category menu, you can style it using HTML and CSS. For example, if you want your category links to be bold and underlined, you would use the following code:
