How Do I Create a Menu in Squarespace?

There are a few different ways to create a menu in Squarespace. You can use the drag-and-drop editor to add a menu to your pages, or you can use the code editor to add a menu to your site.

To add a menu using the drag-and-drop editor:

1. Log in to your Squarespace account and go to your Dashboard.
2. Click the Pages icon.
3. Click the + sign next to the page where you want to add a menu.
4. Select Menu from the list of page types.
5. Enter a name for your menu in the Menu Name field and click Create Menu.
6. Click the + sign next to the page you want to add to your menu and select Add to Menu from the drop-down list.
7. Repeat this process for each page you want to add to your menu.
8. When you’re finished adding pages, click Done.
9. To rearrange the order of your pages, click and drag them into the order you want them to appear in your menu. You can also nest pages by dragging them under other pages (this will create a drop-down menu).
10. When you’re finished rearranging your pages, click Done.
11. To preview your menu, click Preview at the top of the Dashboard.

To add a menu using the code editor:

1. Click the Website icon and then click Edit Site Navigation under Structure in the left sidebar panel.

2. Click Add Menu Item and enter the name of the page you want to add to your menu in the Menu Item field.

3. Click Save.

4. Repeat this process for each page you want to add.

5. When you’re finished adding pages, click Save Changes.

6. To rearrange the order of your pages, hover over a page and click Reorder above it.

7. Drag and drop each page into place.

8. When you’re finished rearranging your pages, click Save Changes.

9. To preview your menu, click Preview at the top of the Dashboard.
