Adding a Google site verification TXT record to HostGator is very simple. First, go to your HostGator account and login. Then, select Settings from the top menu. Under Servers, click on Site Verification.

In the Site Verification TXT Record section, you will see a link to add a TXT record. Click on this link to add a TXT record. In the TXT Record input field, you will need to enter the following information:.

Site Name: the name of your Google site

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with DNS or TXT records, we recommend that you contact your hosting provider for assistance. HostGator does not offer direct support for adding a Google site verification TXT record.
